The 7 Mile Hole hike leads you down into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and to the river (via the closer campground). As the hike is 10 miles in and out, so why 7 mile? The story goes that because it is so steep the 5 miles seem like 7 miles on the way back. While I can really confirm this, the name tells you the distance from the lower falls to the "hole". In any way, it is really worth it!
